About
I am the Deputy Principal of Oamaru Intermediate School – a school for Yr 7 & 8 students in North Otago, New Zealand. This is a wonderfully varied job in which my passion for the integration of ICT can be further explored and used to support teachers throughout our school.
I have previously worked as the ICTPD facilitator for the AVRACS cluster in North Otago, NZ. I made my way around 13 schools and saw a large number of wonderful things happening. These schools cover a distance of about two hours travelling time and so it isn’t possible to see everything happening in each others’ classes and schools. This is a little space came about as it was a space where these things could be shared with others in the cluster – and in the world!
The intention of this site is to continue to share my understandings, findings, successes and also share those of others around me. I welcome your feedback and comments on this site.
Are you going to L@S this year- if you are can we meet up and give me some tips about how to cope with that many schools and how your cluster works. I have 14 schools to work with! I will be at the Edubloggers Cafe.
HI Allanah – I would LOVE to be going to L@S this year, however unfortunately our cluster (and my facilitator role) have finished. I am currently settling into a new role (within a school that I worked with back in 2001-03 when I was a facilitator then). Am more than happy for you to make contact with me (deidre.senior@gmail.com) or Skype (mrss01) should you need anyone to ‘bounce’ ideas off – although as a follower of your blog – I know I too would benefit from any sharing!! Enjoy L@S and the Bloggers Cafe – feel free to be in touch!
